Rychard Lardner, Partner
Rychard is a partner at Lardner Nixon LLP and is responsible for for key client accounts and consulting on complex tax and financial planning related issues, including: due diligence, business & estate planning, audits, research and development grants, business proposals, business start-ups and acquisitions, business valuations and compliance.
Rychard is a Licensed Public Accountant and graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in 1978 with an HBA. Rychard is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 1999. He has over 35 years experience and worked for large a multi-national accounting firm, a large stock brokerage firm and one of Canada'a largest pharmaceutical firms before founding Lardner Nixon LLP in 1997. Rychard also believes passionately in supporting his community and continues to volunteer his time as Treasurer for Christmas Cheer. He was instrumental on the Board of Habitat for Humanity - Huronia Inc., where he was president for two years; with Summer Company, a program that provides guidance to high school and post-secondary students who wish to start-up and run a business for the summer; and with other non-profit or government sponsored programs that assist people in starting up their own company.
Jeff Nixon, Partner
Jeff is a senior partner at Lardner Nixon LLP and is responsible for for key client accounts and consulting on complex tax and financial planning related issues, including: due diligence, business & estate planning, audits, research and development grants, business proposals, business start-ups and acquisitions, business valuations and compliance.
Jeff is a Licensed Public Accountant and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1994 with an Economics degree. He obtained his CA designation in 1996 and his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1998. Jeff has extensive experience working with a diverse client base in many areas including; corporate tax, commodity tax, cash management and internal audit. Jeff’s practical experience working in a variety of industries enables him to develop and communicate solutions to the unique business issues of individual clients.
Martha exhibits a unique passion for a broad range of topics and exhibits a unique insight into ethnic issues related to business and commerce. Martha completed most of the CGA program in her native Nicaragua before moving to Canada. She also received a diploma from the DeVry Institute of Technology in Business and Inventory Operations.
Stacey attended secretarial college in South Africa, and has gained experience as executive secretary, personal assistant and office manager. As part of the Lardner Nixon LLP team, she strives to provide excellent administrative and customer service. Our clients are an important part of our team and every question is answered, every query filled and confidentiality is assured. Stacey responsibilities include: scheduling office appointments, answering of questions regarding your corporate year end and personal tax returns. I will be part of organizing the booking in -office corporate and personal tax returns and helping to complete the returns for convenient collection and filing of these returns.
Laura is an administrator at Lardner Nixon LLP, She supports accounting staff with the maintenance of files, scheduling of appointments and ensuring information is dispatched to the appropriate destination in a timely manner. She strives to provide our clients with the best possible customer service. Laura is a graduate of CTS Canadian Career College in Barrie with an honours diploma in Addictions Counselling, Laura contributes to the community by using her unique skills in volunteer work with Barrie and Area Victim Services, The Salvation Army, The Canadian Cancer Society, The Heart and Stroke Foundation and Youth Haven Barrie. Much of my professional life has been in customer service as I enjoy working with people in many capacities.
Roger is a staff accountant at Lardner Nixon LLP. In this role he is responsible for preparing corporate financial statements and corporate and personal tax returns. Roger holds a diploma in Business Admin and Accounting and is currently enrolled in the CGA program. Roger shares his many years of industry experience with our clients.
Kristin’s primary responsibility is to prepare corporate and personal tax returns and works closely with clients to provide practical solutions to their day-to-day financial management and bookkeeping questions. She is a graduate of Laurentian University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Kristin is also actively involved in, and volunteers her time to various local churches in Barrie and the surrounding area.
Alison is responsible for corporate and personal tax preparations. She is currently enrolled in the Business Admin-Accounting program at Georgian College working towards her Chartered General Accounting designation. Alison has extensive experience in the field of accounting and administration in a variety of industries in the private sector before joining to Lardner Nixon LLP. She is very involved in the South Simcoe community through her volunteer work with a number of non-profit organizations.
Zurima, Senior Accountant
Zurima has graduated from Laurentian University in 2010 with Honours in the Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree. She has also graduated from Georgian College in 2008 with honours in the Business Administration -Advanced Accounting diploma. She is currently enrolled in the C.G.A program and has completed all of her required courses, and is expecting to obtain her designation by 2014. With her experience in industry accounting and a passion for numbers, she strives to add value.
Nicole is a graduate of Georgian College with Honours in Hospitality Management in 2008 and alos has graduated with Honours in Business Administration – Accounting. She is now working towards her Honours Bachelor of Commerce (H.B. Com) through Laurentian University and her Certified General Accountants designation. Nicole has many years of experience working in the retail and hospitality industries.
Melisa, Senior Accountant
Melissa’s main focus is reviewing corporate financial statements, preparing audit and review engagements, as well as reviewing corporate and personal tax returns. She is a graduate of the Communication University of China in 2002 with a Bachelor degree of Journalism. She has obtained a Presidential Honours diploma in Business Accounting in 2005 and is currently working towards her CGA certification and is an active volunteer with the CGA Huronia Chapter. Melissa has been in the public accounting field for more than 8 years and has extensive knowledge in both corporate and personal tax.
